What does Best Price FS Offer?

Best Price Financial Services use Cofunds which is the UK’s largest independent investment platform offering a huge fund range and an award winning service.

We only offer the unbundled proposition on our execution-only service platform. However, if you are looking for advice, please contact our advisory firm Best Price Advice on for more details.

What is the difference between bundled & Unbundled funds?

Unbundled

All charges are charged explicitly.

  • AMC - 0.75% - this would be fully retained by the fund manager
  • Cofunds charge - an investment based charged in line with the below rate card.
  • Adviser charge - 0.2% Fee

There are no initial fund charges and no switch charges through the unbundled proposition.

Cofunds Rate Card
0 to £100,000 0.29%
£100,000 to £250,000 0.26%
£250,000 to £500,000 0.23%
£500,000 to £1 Million 0.20%
£1 Million & Above 0.15%

The rate card is calculated on a ratcheted basis, therefore each tier of the charging structure has to be completed before moving onto the next one (similar to income tax).

e.g. A £200,000 portfolio would have the first £100,000 charged at 0.29% and the next £100,000 being charged at 0.26%. The blended rate being applied to the overall portfolio is therefore equivalent to 0.275%.

Bundled

All ongoing charges are bundled up within the AMC of the funds that you select. If we take a typical equity fund which has an AMC of 1.5% (Hargreaves Lansdown and Chelsea Financial Services) then this is broken down as follows:

  • 0.75% retained by the fund manager
  • 0.25% rebated to Cofunds
  • 0.5% available to you as a trail commission.

In the above scenario we have set it up to rebate the trail commission so that our charge is 0.20%. Therefore the overall ongoing charge for the above would be 1.2%. Initial charges would be dependent upon the funds selected - the majority of funds do not have any initial charges, however some do have an initial charge attached to them.

Switch charge is 0.25% on the value of the switch.
